Witness (1985)

 

Witness (1985) is a great example of a stalker thriller; the story

is of a young Amish boy who witnesses a murder in Philadelphia.

The beginning of the film isn’t portrayed as a typical thriller, as

there are many of German people all crying at a funeral, this sets

the mood to make you feel sorry for the people.       

                                            

However there is a plot twist that occurs when 2 men walk in and

proceed to murder the scruffy looking man, there is then a shot

through the toilet door of Samuel's eye. I  thought this shot was

excellent because it makes him look weak and vulnerable, yet

telling the audience that he is a witness to the crime scene and

therefore could potentially be in danger later on in the film.
